Assignment: Technical assistance in Tanzania – maintenance of solar measurement stations.
Context: The World Bank (WB) initiated a project in early 2017 to support the East African Power Pool (EAPP) and some of its member countries in carrying out renewable energy resource assessment and mapping, with funding from the Energy Sector Management Assistance Program (ESMAP).
This assignment is an extension and covers the planning, commissioning, implementation, and decommissioning of a high-quality solar measurement campaign at eight sites, in Kenya (3 sites), Tanzania (3 sites, of which one exists already), and Uganda (2 sites), including monthly delivery of bankable solar data over a two-year period for each site.
