Arthur Karomba With over 30 years’ experience as a high-voltage electrical engineer, Arthur Karomba has worked as project engineer and site supervisor in electrical grid projects for numerous organizations in Mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar, including for the national utility TANESCO. Arthur holds a BsC in electrical engineering and Bachelor of Law.
Frédéric Morel Frédéric Morel has successfully lead several companies in Belgium and Luxembourg, has a strong financial and technical background and a broad knowledge of environmental matters. He holds a Master's degree in Applied Economics, Business Engineering from the University of Antwerp and studied International Tax Law at Antwerp Management School in Belgium.
Lena Drabig Lena Drabig manages the ongoing development of the company’s pipeline of renewable energy projects. She is also the lead of the GIS mapping and analysis department. Lena conducted research for a power generation company in Germany on methods for automation of power plant processes to identify sources of system failure before they commence. Lena obtained a BEng in Process Integrated Environmental Protection from University of Applied Sciences in Jena, Germany.
Said Tindi Said Tindi is a Geographic Information System (GIS) analyst and land surveyor at Energio Verda. Said leads GIS work for EVA and its clients, specializing in village and land assessments for renewable energy projects. Prior to joining EVA, Said worked in a range of governmental departments as a GIS expert: at the National Electoral Commission providing support in the run-up to the 2015 presidential elections; and as a town planner for a number of District Governments. Said obtained a BSc in Urban and Regional Planning from Ardhi University in Dar es Salaam.


Emmanuel Michael Emmanuel Michael is specialized in energy management & renewable energy projects design and development. He has more than eight years of experience in the renewable energy sector and worked for local and international organizations such as IED France, UNEP Risoe Centre in Denmark and UNIDO Tanzania. Emmanuel holds a MSc. degree in Environmental & Energy Management from the University of Twente, the Netherlands, and a BSc. with Honours degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Tomo Sandeman Tomo Sandeman, Project Manager, has worked in the UK renewables sector in wind farm project development and renewables project financing, including a successful $350m wind farm pipeline bid. He specializes in GIS applications for renewable energy planning. Tomo holds an MSc in Nature, Society and Environmental Policy from the University of Oxford.

Filip Moeykens Filip Moeykens is Managing Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Fork Capital, a Belgian private equity partnership and Board Member of the university of Brussels. He holds a Master in Applied Economic Sciences & Engineering and a Master in Tax Law, both from the University of Brussels, Belgium. As an expert in accountancy and tax-related matters he counseled several investment companies.
Frederik Middernacht Frederik Middernacht is Managing Director of InVhestia, a Belgian/East African investment management firm. He gained broad financial and international experience while working for major companies such as BNP Paribas Fortis, PricewaterhouseCoopers and InBev. He also gained experience in the energy and renewable energy sectors in Europe and in Africa. He holds a Master in Business Administration from Vlerick Management School, Belgium.
Walter Vandenbulcke Walter Vandenbulcke is Partner at Genium Group, an all-round consultancy company with offices in Belgium and The Netherlands, and business consultant specialized in financial engineering, financial management, financing/funding and M&A. He is a lecturer Finance at the Institute for Business Development in Belgium. He has been Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Managing Director of Hedgren Creations, a manufacturer and distributor of fabric bags and backpacks active in 50 countries.

Strategic Advisory Board

Bart Van den Branden Bart Van den Branden is Managing Director and co-founder of Eoluz, a major Belgian solar PV company. Eoluz designs, installs and maintains turn-key photovoltaic installations starting from a few kilowatts up to several megawatts. Before he worked at Electrabel, a Belgian electric utility company active in Benelux, and GDF-Suez, a French multinational electric utility company. Bart holds a MSc. in Civil Engineering from the University of Leuven, a postgraduate in Business Economics at the Vlerick Leuven-Ghent Mangament School in Belgium, and a Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification.
Marc Dumon Marc Dumon is a seasoned entrepreneur who worked for more than 20 years as Director of Telelink HK, a telecommunication company providing telecom services in several countries in sub-Saharan Africa. He gained extensive experience in strategy and business development in both Africa and Europe. He is also Director of Cast4All, a Belgian telecommunication firm and holds office as Chairman of the Board of Directors of several companies.
Philippe Vandermeer Philippe Vandermeer is Partner at Genium Group and has wide-ranging experience as a general manager in starting up and developing commercial organizations for international companies. He has been working in sectors such as telecommunication, domotica and construction. Since 1999 he is an independent business consultant specialized in strategy, financing, organization and communication. Philippe studied Germanic languages and Business Administration at the University of Brussels  (VUB) in Belgium and became partner of Genium Group in 2005.
Philippe Vis Philippe Vis is an independent real estate professional, has been working for several international real estate companies in Western and Eastern Europe, and was a member of a strategic think-tank of Compaq Computer Corporation (now HP). He studied Civil Engineering at the University of Brussels (VUB) and holds a Master degree in Real Estate from the University of Antwerp in Belgium.
Werner Van Walle Werner Van Walle is a successful entrepreneur and investor, involved in ventures in the field of renewable energy, telecom and real estate. He is one of the founders of Fork Capital, a Belgian private equity partnership, and is CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of several companies. He followed a SME Excellence training at the Vlerick Management School in Belgium and coached many start-ups.
